In our lives saturated with information, taking a real look at the world requires a particular frame of mind, a certain penchant for contemplation... We must look to love, and love to nourish ourselves. Being sensitive to reflections running on the water, to skyscrapers radiating the New York night, to the beauty of a horse, to the stones of a Minoan site, to an ancient fresco or to the attraction of a face...

Capturing shapes, colors, rhythms... I most often paint from my photos because they carry experienced emotions. But I admit to gleaning a few things from the internet from time to time. My painting is a plastic work, in the sense that I pay attention to the quality of the forms and the circulation of the eye. Emotion, once again, is the common thread. Like music...
